Q5-2 Enhanced Condensation using Twisted Tapes: Experimental Data

This article reports HTRI experimental data on enhanced condensation using twisted tapes. Data were collected from three twisted tape geometries using pure hydrocarbon and mixtures with and without a noncondensable gas. The average heat transfer coefficient increased by 50 to 350 percent, and pressure drop increased three to ten times over a wide range of operating conditions.
